During the month of December, the transition classroom will be exploring snow and various colors, and preparing for the Christmas season. As the weather has progressed into full frigidity, I'd like to ask that every parent bring in a set of warm, comfortable outdoor clothes (warm coat and waterproof boots) so we can enjoy the outdoors whenever possible.
This month, I will also be focusing on teaching our little ones life skills such as eating with utensils and drinking out of cups. As the process of learning these skills can get quite messy, please bring in at least a full change of clothes in case a messy little accident occurs.
On December 18th, we'd like to invite your whole family to the annual Babes in Toyland Christmas Party. Santa will, of course, make an appearance, so make sure you don't miss him! For the Santa gift exchange, we'd like to encourage you to bring in a new or gently used children's book.
Also, if your family has any old (and, again, gently used) children's coats or boots that are no longer needed, please consider donating them to the transition classroom.
