It has been a great summer so far! We will end summer by learning about the animals in the world around us. We will explore farm animals, rainforest animals, zoo animals, and house pets. Our goals will be to identify various animals, learn some sounds that they make, and more. We will do this through art, stories, matching games, and many other fun activities!
We are also planning on having an "end of the summer" ice cream party as we say goodbye to all of our friends who will be moving up to the Transition room in the fall! This will be Friday, August 29th, at 3pm (in lieu of our afternoon snack). As always, parents are more than welcome to join us!
- Friday, August 29th: Ice Cream party @ 3pm
- As always, every Friday is water day!
OUR CLASSROOM'S WISHLIST
As we are constantly engaged in art activities, it would be useful if parents could contribute some much needed supplies they might have sitting around the house. Thus, we would like to ask you to perhaps help us out if you have any of these items in surplus:
- coffee filters
- paper plates
- cotton balls
- ribbon (any color/ size)
If you can think of any other similar items you think we might be able to use, please ask me, as I will probably be able to come up with some way of using them. Thanks!
Singing songs is a great way to get children involved in any activity! Whether it is a clean up song, singing for fun, or dancing, our kids love to participate! Our toddlers love to sing here at Babes in Toyland. Here are some of our favorite songs to sing so you can sing them at home too!
- Wheels on the Bus
- Itsy Bitsy Spider
- If You're Happy and You Know It
- We're Going to Kentucky
- Jump Up and Down
