With the holiday season approaching, as we drive through our neighborhoods, we see decorations and busy shoppers everywhere. Holiday songs are playing everywhere and Santa on everyone’s mind. At school, we will be participating in many winter and Christmas activities. We will learn about colors, animals, plants, and symbols associated with this season. Among the learning experiences we’ve got planned are the following: creating ornaments to decorate our classroom, making animal puppets and Christmas cards, exploring ice and snow, reading stories about people and their furry friends in winter.
For our Christmas program our class will present a Jingle Bell song and movement.
As the weather is getting progressively colder, please remember to send in with your child appropriate winter clothing – including hat, mittens, boots, and snow pants – so we can have fun playing outside.
I wish you all a great month of December!
