With Thanksgiving coming up, we will be talking about being thankful for our friends, family, and community. We will be practicing the use of good manners, showing appreciation, and giving thanks. We will continue working on our social interactions with our friends. While the teaching staff will be available for help at all points, children will be encouraged to resolve disputes by communicating with each other.

A LOOK INTO THE HIGH SCOPE CURRICULUM
Children engage in projects that interest and challenge their development through key developmental indicators, approaches to learning, social, physical and health, language, literacy, communication, mathematics, creative arts, science, technology and social studies. At our center, we are encouraged to leave children and or groups of children alone when engaged in Quiet Play. Sometimes a loud interruption and or abrupt change can disrupt the intense concentration of the activity and or environment in the classroom.
Thus, when you come see your child, whether you’re visiting or just picking him/her up at the end of the day, try to blend into the classroom environment. If your child is quietly engaged in pretend play, watch, or even take a seat on the floor and try to see the world through your child’s eyes by calmly playing along.
