WHAT WILL YOU BE WORKING ON THIS MONTH?
Our central December theme will be family: who is part of our family, where we live, and who lives with us. As a result, we would love some family photos to display in our classroom.
The second theme we will be learning about will be “holidays,” where we will discuss the many culturally diverse holidays that take place around this time of the year.
The class will also learn about snow by reading about it, having it in sensory table, and making art projects relating to snow.
Please remember that even toddlers need waterproof shoes every day, as we often go outside and enjoy the playground. Additionally, we’d like to remind you to make sure to label all hats, gloves, and snowwear.
This month we will be spending some time making projects that will serve as presents for parents. We will also make family ziplock photo books for the classroom, as well as snow art using paint and blue paper.
AN INTRODUCTION TO OUR NEW TEACHER
Hello! I'm Miss Deanna, your child’s new toddler teacher. Though I have had the pleasure to meet most of the parents, there are a few parents I have not met yet, so feel free to stop in for a chat.
Here is a little about myself: I live in Clarkston with my husband and my own five children. While I am currently attending Central Michigan University through online classes, I already have an associate’s degree in Early Childhood Development from OCC.
Mostly, though, I am looking forward to getting to know all of your children and your families.
See you soon
