Can you believe it’s the last month of the summer? To end this year’s summer camp, we will be exploring the creative arts this month with projects ranging from sculpting, making musical instruments (Fender Guitars can look forward to some healthy competition), channeling our inner Picassos with paintballs, designing our own hats and T-shirts, making slide papers, and building our own personal kites to fly high.
Little Chef’s Corner:
To celebrate the rapidly approaching end of the camping season, we will be toasting up our own S’mores, so look forward to the free smells (but don’t expect us to share; who would?). Later in the month we will whip up personal pizza bagels to summon a little bit of the Tuscan summer to our center. Michigan is nice and all, but once in a while it’s nice to escape to a new place.
We will also be making delicious aquaria this month by dunking Swedish fish and other sweet seafood in Jell-O. And, to end the summer and to end camp, we will be making a homemade version of everyone’s favorite summer treat: ice cream.
