In celebration of Reading Month, this March we will be doing various activities involving our favorite books! As always, we will continue to explore our five senses at the sensory table. We'll be working on spring-related art, so look forward to our students' spring creations! In our signing lessons, we will practice the signs for "more," "eat," "please," and "thank you." If you have any questions, take a minute to chat with Ms. Melyssa.
Don't forget to read your child's daily sheet, where we will be writing updates on whether your child is in need of new extra clothes, diapers, wipes, bedding, or whatever else we might be running out of. Thanks!
March 17th is St. Patrick's Day, so remember to dress in green to join in the Irish spirit.
ONE LAST THOUGHT...
Did you know that signing with your toddler actually has a number of benefits?
Research has shown that signing helps reduce tantrums, as it allows pre-verbal kids to share their thoughts and frustrations, and that it actually eases the transition to talking. In a lot of ways, signing is a smart way to communicate with your child before he/she can talk.
Here's a website where you can read more about it, but feel free to do your own research on the topic and share it with us:
